Tips to Motivate You

Do you ever find that sometimes it’s just hard to motivate yourself to do something?  Some people lack the motivation to exercise, or to eat healthy, or to get to places on time.  Have you ever thought that way?  Well, if you have, you are not alone.  Every day people struggle with motivation and there are a few things that may help.

Here are some tips that might help to motivate you!

Tip #1: Have a Plan and Follow it!

It is easier to follow through on what you need to get done if you have a plan.  When writing your plan, prioritize it and have deadlines for you to meet.

Tip #2: Take it Slow!

Try not to get everything done at once.  If your schedule is heavy, prioritize the items and tackle them one at a time.  That way, you won’t feel overwhelmed to get things done.

Tip #3: Stop Comparing Yourself

Never look at people above you; look at people lower than you. This will help realize that you are better than millions out there. Besides, people above you are there because they learnt to motivate themselves. Now that you are doing the same, you will get to their level soon enough. As long as there is willpower, there will be success.

Tip #4: Everyone Makes Mistakes

If you happen to lack motivation on a certain day or for a certain to do list, it’s okay.  Take a step back, reflect and move on to something else on the list.  You can always revisit it when you are feeling up to it.

Tip #5: Awaken Your Creative Side

Everyone has a creative side within.  However, some people are not in touch with their creative side.  Have you ever wanted to try something different?  Now is your chance.  Letting your creative side out might help you to shift gears and give new meaning to your thoughts and actions.

Tip #6: Beware of Your Focus

Make sure that you allow your focus to be on the positive aspects.  If you dwell on negatives, it will lead to negative thinking and you are more apt to become less motivated.  Focus your energy on what you can do and what you can accomplish.

Tip #7: Stick Around Motivating People

Positive people inspire others. Surround yourself with positive energy and you may find that you have more positive energy.  That way you will be motivated to achieve.

Don’t forget, its okay not to feel super motivated all the time!  Weather, life situations and tasks can sometimes make us feel down, and less motivated.  There are days when you will feel very motivated, and days where you won’t feel as motivated.  Take these in stride, follow the above tips and hopefully it will help you recharge to feel motivated.
